Dominate

This month's theme chosen by Mands was Dominate. One of my techniques that I taught this month at Scraptivate was beeswax and I chose to use that method to create my atc for this month. So everything on mine, including the chain, has been adhered using only beeswax. A little coloured wax crayon was added for some extra colour and shading but no glues or other adhesives have been used. As I like to say...the only thing that gets ironed in my house is beeswax! ;-)

Next month's theme is.....well, I don't know yet. Haven't decided on one but I'm sure if I continue to do a little more reading of my books, one will hit me.

Leather Daddy

So this one is fairly self explanatory...."Leather Daddy". Let me tell you, if you google "daddy and his boy" with the safe-search off, you get all sorts of stuff!!! Mands and I both used leather on our atc's this month, as you would with Leather Daddy as the theme and as her image had a laced-up corset in the image so she used leather lacing on her atc. My image had chain & rings so naturally, that's what's on mine! We're very literal! lol

Toy Sexual

Our last "R" rated ATC swap theme for 2011 was Mandy's choice.....Toy Sexual. Consequently I spent hours trawling the internet for unusual "toys" and are there some doozey's out there let me tell you!!! So here's my interpretation for Toy Sexual, and believe it or not you can actually get an attachment so a friend can join you on this bouncey adventure...the mind boggles. That reminds me of a quote I read once..."The fact that something boggles the mind, says more about the mind than the something".

So my atc is an interactive one, it opens up like a book. The first picture is the front with a little string and a knob to wind the string around....yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I said knob.

... and here's a close-up of those little gel-like spikey things down the bottom so you can see the texture. Hmmmm....it reminds me of something.... Looks very cool Mands and feels sort of rubbery and soft and flexible. This particular technique using a glue-like product was seen on another web-site by a very talented lady, don't worry Linda, I won't link you here....how many Linda's are there in the World??? Bet you never thought it'd end up on an atc like this! lol

Pearl Necklace

As mentioned in my last post, last month hubby and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary, so in honour of that event our theme for October was "Pearl Necklace". Now I've already got a Pearl Necklace...one that I CAN wear out in public... so I decided on a bracelet with handcuff links for an anniversary gift as we've been "manacled" together for 30 years! Of course I did the other Pearl Necklace for this swap.

Orgy

Our latest theme for the "R" rated swap between Mands and myself was her choice.....Orgy. Many an hour was spent trawling the internet for pics suitable to use. Amazing what comes up if you type in "vintage orgy", the mind boggles...and all that HAIR everywhere!!! ;-) So here are our atc's.

My Orgy... (I used the current technique that I'm teaching at my atc classes on this one - texture paste backgrounds, very tactile! Here's the link if you want to see more samples - non rude ones, though I did think I was very tame with my atc for this theme.)

I've chosen our next theme ~ "Pearl Necklace" ~. It's in honour of my 30th wedding anniversary which was yesterday (18/10/11) and as I already have a pearl necklace, well a pearl pendant anyway, I thought we could dirty it up a bit. Pierce, Cunning Linguist, and so on...

I thought I might as well just go ahead and load the rest of the pics from the swap that Mands and I are doing. If you want to know the full story, read the first post below to understand what led to this blog.

So onto the next theme, Pierce. It's amazing how many body piercings are out there, I knew of some of course but damn, there's a lot! I made this one is interactive...you lift up the little flap with the Absolut Apadravya bottle on the front and below is the image with the piercing. Mands and I do a few interactive ones throughout this swap.

My "SPANK"... (Surprising how many didn't notice this was two boys! They were too busy asking technichal questions like, how'd I get the handprint and Spank superimposed onto the picture. Answer - Microsoft Publisher - take an image, then do a text box, drag the text box over the image and hit Control & "T" and it makes the text box transparent, cool huh!)

Then came "GLORY HOLE"... Let me tell you, as soon as I came up with this theme I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Had to go buy a box of condoms though as it's not the sort of thing I have lying around at home you know. Also didn't know how slimey they are! They won't stick to paper so I had to staple the crap out of it to make it stay there and even after I wiped it a bajillion times, it still slimed my scanner! Turned out fine though. This is another interactive one, the hole goes all the way through the card so you can stick your finger in from the back if you want to go for the full effect. I left the lubrication on the inside for that extra special something. ;-)

First up....PASSION

So Mands and I decided to do this private "R" rated swap with ATC's (Artist Trading Cards). If you're not sure what these are you can read the little spiel in the "about me" column on the right. Basically they are a set size - 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" and no money should change hands for them, they are small pieces of artwork traded between artists.

On a monthly basis we take turns coming up with a theme and then create two the same, one to keep and one to swap so we both have a complete set. At this stage it's on-going though it is getting harder to come up with some themes as some words just don't translate well into pictures.

If you've got any suggestions (for themes that is!!!), I'd love to hear them!
